This is the email to come back to every single month. EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH. to see what's up.

And before I get into today's email, I want to tell you something about how I work. Because it explains why this email exists at all. Please read this email carefully because it is JUST what I wish I was told every single month I felt burnt out. And I want to start by telling you WHY this email is so powerful, why you should even listen to me, okay?

I have been told many times over the past 11 years that my approach to teaching will limit my growth. And they are probably right. ๐Ÿ˜…

Because when I teach a course, I put EVERYTHING into it. Every recipe, every technique, every science explanation, every business strategy. I do not split things up across 5 courses so you keep coming back to buy more. I teach you the whole thing in one place so you genuinely never need to buy another course on that topic again.

AND on top of that, I give personal attention to almost every single student. I want to know your story. Your emotional load. Your mental load. What is going wrong in your kitchen AND in your business. Because running a small bakery is not just a skill challenge. It is a HUMAN challenge. And I genuinely love the humans I work with. ๐Ÿ’›

FIRST: THE WHOLE TRUTH ACROSS THE BOARD

Have you ever felt, Reader ,"I am doing SO much. And nothing is moving."

Not "I am lazy." Not "I don't know anything." Not "I haven't tried." SO MUCH. And nothing is moving.

And I get it completely. Because I have watched close to 1000 bakers in 11 years hit this exact wall at some point in their journey. (Me included)

The problem is almost never a lack of effort.

The problem is doing ALL the things without knowing which ONE thing actually matters right now for where you specifically are.

Posting more. Buying another course. Adding a new product. Trying a new platform. Reducing prices. Increasing prices. Starting over. Doing it all again. And somehow still feeling like you are going in circles. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Here is what I know after 11 years of watching this happen:

Every baker who feels overwhelmed and stuck is almost always trying to solve the WRONG problem for her stage. I divide bakers based on 2 stages mostly.

The Foundations Baker is worrying about printed boxes and tags when she hasn't sorted her menu yet and is selling everything. The Stuck Baker is buying more recipe courses when her problem is actually marketing.

Both are working hard. Both are going nowhere. Because the effort is going to the wrong place.

Today's tool fixes that.

Before I tell you which stage you are at, I want to share something I tell EVERY single student regardless of where they are in their journey.

๐Ÿ““ Keep a journal. Every single week without fail.

Spend one hour every week sitting with three questions:

What did I do this week? What worked and what didn't? What is my ONE focus for next week in both baking AND business?

This one habit alone will save you more time, money and heartbreak than any course you will ever buy. It gives you a direction. It helps you realign before you go too far off track. It stops you from running in circles for months before realising something is not working. Every new problem feels equally urgent so you try to fix everything at once and end up fixing nothing properly.

๐Ÿ“Š Focus on business skills AS MUCH as baking skills.

So many talented bakers spend hours and hours perfecting their bakes and then wonder why nobody is buying.

People cannot buy what they do not know about.

And knowing how to bake beautifully is only half the job. The other half is knowing how to price it, market it, build a brand around it, and attract the right customers consistently.

I teach business skills in a way that actually makes sense for bakers. No ROI, no KPI, no high-end marketing jargon that makes you want to close the tab. ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ Just practical, soulful, real advice built specifically for a home baker running a small business with her own two hands. ๐Ÿ”ฌ Focus on the WHY and HOW of baking. Not more and more recipes.

Here is something I feel very strongly about after 11 years of teaching:

A baker who understands the science behind her bakes will ALWAYS outperform a baker who has memorised 500 recipes.

Because when you understand why your brownie is fudgy, you can make it MORE or less fudgy๐Ÿซ.
When you understand what makes a cookie spread, you can control it๐Ÿช. When you understand the science, you can create your own variations, fix your own mistakes, and get consistent results EVERY single time without needing a new recipe for every single flavour.

That is why in every single course I teach, the focus is not just recipes. It is the science, the technique, the understanding. And THEN the mentorship to help you figure out what went wrong in YOUR kitchen with YOUR oven and YOUR ingredients like a detective. ๐Ÿ”


๐Ÿชฃ Find the leaking holes in your bucket.

Notice patterns. When do things go wrong?

๐Ÿ“You are not getting repeat orders. Why? Are your bakes genuinely good enough? Do people not remember you exist between orders?
๐Ÿ“Your breads always smell too yeasty. Why? Are you adding too much yeast?
๐Ÿ“You feel burned out every time you do accounts. Why? Is it taking too long? Is your pricing formula off?

These leaking holes tell you EXACTLY where to focus next. And when you find them, you stop launching more and more products hoping something sticks and start actually fixing what is broken.


๐ŸŽฏ Ruthlessly prioritise. You cannot please everyone and that is a GOOD thing.

You cannot sell everything. You cannot sell to every type of customer. You cannot be on every platform, in every market, at every price point.

And the sooner you accept that, the sooner you stop spreading yourself so thin that nothing works.

Here is a very honest example from my own business. This email list has 2000 people on it. Do you know how many are receiving this email right now? Around 500. Because I remove people from my list if they have not opened 4 or more emails from me. And of those 500, maybe 250 will actually open and read this.

So YOU 250 are my ENTIRE focus. ๐Ÿ’›

Imagine if I kept sending emails to all 1750 people who are not interested. My open rates would look terrible. I would feel disheartened. And I would start questioning whether my content is even good.

Instead I focus on the people who actually want to be here. And everything feels more aligned, more intentional and honestly more FUN.

โฐ Be realistic with your time.

This one is SO important and nobody talks about it honestly.

It takes a LONG time to build something real.

I spent years developing my own eggless baking recipes from scratch because back then nobody was teaching the science behind eggless bakingโฐ. I spent lakhs building my own business strategies because nobody was teaching baking business skills in a way that aligned with running a business ethically and protecting your mental health๐Ÿ’ธ.

It takes time to perfect recipes through trial and error. It takes time to build relationships with the right vendors. It takes time to build a loyal customer base who trusts you completely.

STOP comparing yourself to what you see on social media. It is the half truth and it will only push you toward desperation and bad decisions.

Find REASONABLE ways to shorten the journey instead. Stalls and pop-ups help you build customer connections quickly. A great course can shorten a 6 month journey down to 1. The right mentorship can stop you from making the same mistakes for 3 years before figuring out what went wrong.

After 11 years of watching bakers at every single stage, I have noticed that almost every home baker sits in one of two places.
