Recap: In my last email, I opened the doors to Baker's Business Academy (Reply to this email to see if you don't see it in your inbox I will share it again), today, I want to share the harsh truth behind running a home bakery.
So doors to Baker’s Business Academy opened yesterday… and in just a few hours, 6 out of 25 spots are already gone. 🎉
If you’re still on the fence, I get it. Maybe you’ve been thinking, “Do I really need this? I already have a baking business…”
But here’s what I want to tell you today: the truth about what actually makes a home bakery grow.
Not the shiny Instagram advice. Not the random tips from free content.
The real, sometimes uncomfortable lessons I’ve learnt over 10 years of doing this the hard way.
đź’ˇ Lesson 1: Being a great baker is NOT enough.
I wish it was, but it isn’t.
If you’re constantly worried about where orders will come from, you won’t even get the chance to bake. You’ll stay stuck in the loop of stress → overthinking → burnout.
And that’s why chasing recipes or learning “just one more cake” is a trap. It won’t fix the real problem: the business behind your baking. There are literally 100 home bakers in every city, you must have SOMETHING unique that sells. {And I will teach you exactly how}
💡 Lesson 2: Orders don’t equal profit.
I’ve seen (and been) the baker who worked all month, only to realise the profit was barely enough to cover groceries.
Why? Because “orders” are just one piece. If you don’t understand where your money is going, who your high-paying clients are, or how to create offers that actually pay back for your time and energy… you’ll always feel broke, no matter how hard you work.
đź’ˇ Lesson 3: Instagram is not a business plan.
Even if you go viral, it doesn’t guarantee consistent sales. I’ve seen it fail too many times. Instagram is just an app, it can vanish tomorrow (remember TikTok?).
What really builds a business is creating a brand, a menu, and an experience your customers can’t get enough of, so they keep coming back to you (and only you).
💡 Lesson 4: If you don’t build your bakery around YOU, you’ll burn out.
Every baker I know has had that thought: “Should I just give up?”
Slow seasons are normal, but giving up isn’t the answer. You need clarity on what to do instead, and sometimes just a mentor reminding you, “Hey, this isn’t the end, let’s pivot.”
Inside BBA, I help you stay on track, motivated, and hopeful. Because I don’t just see you as a “business owner”: I see the human behind the apron too.
👉 And here’s the kicker: these aren’t shiny, viral strategies. They don’t sound sexy.
But they’re the real lessons that actually change everything.
I had to spend lakhs of rupees, years of trial-and-error, and countless sleepless nights to figure these out. You don’t have to.
That’s exactly why I built Baker’s Business Academy so you can skip the wasted time and money, and go straight to building a profitable, confident business in just 6 months.
Inside you get:
🍰 Step-by-step courses (launching, pricing, branding, scaling, stalls)
đź’» Monthly group coaching where I review YOUR bakery, and we map your exact 30-day action plan
📆 Co-working sessions where we sit down and actually get things done
đź“‚ Done-for-you tools, templates, pricing calculators, prompts, planners
👠A supportive community so you’re never alone in this
And the best part? You’re not just learning you’re implementing every single month with me in your corner.
